Our History

Greater Harlem Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, Inc. is a voluntary , non-profit, 200 bed facility located in the heart of Harlem.  Greater Harlem opened its door receiving its first resident on February 4, 1976, in response to the needs identified by a group of Harlem residents.  The facility has set a new standard for excellence and continuing care, and creates an ideal environment for each resident in their new home away from home.

The Administrative staff and all employees of Greater Harlem Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center stand ready to serve and administer to the health and well-being of all community residents.

We believe that each individual has a right to quality health care and a sense of well-being.  Each employee is therefore committed to treat all residents equally with understanding, compassion and respect.
